methinks we wont be hearing from the clown for a while. Good win by the boys today. We were far from convincing but managed to grind a win. Best for us today were Beech, Birss, F Caruso, Ezard, Chubb and Lobbe. Puts us in 3rd spot with us playing Port Adelaide next week

Good work from the boys today. Some real positives coming out of this season for us. With how wide open this season is the next few weeks could really set up our season. Keep the good form going guys.

Not good enough.
I really can't work out where South is at this year so far.
Well done West, more desparate for the ball and wanted the win more than we did.
South could have set themselves up well with a win but as always when the big games are there to be won....they let you down. I hope Ron can change that down the track.
Disappointing.

Is he the son of the Beech (Dave?) who played for West in the 1980's?

How was the standard of footy?
Both of these clubs (along with Norwood now) appear to have made some pretty big leaps on last season...
Crowd?

Standard was pretty ordinary to be honest. Both sides made heaps of errors. South made a few more than west. Umpires ordinary in all facets of the game. Made some baffling errors both ways. As mentioned before there will be plenty of bouncing practice at umpire training during the week. Crowd probably just over 2000. 50/50 split imo.

I saw Neil Craig and David Noble sitting in a 4WD on centre wing.
How has McKernan's form been this season? Today I thought he went missing in parts. However his disposal shows class and would be much needed at the Crows
