Congratulations to Ben "Dugga" Warren who will play game number 150 on Saturday.Appointed captain this year he has been a tremendous player for the club over the last 7-8 years since coming up from Langhorne Creek. He is a favourite son of all Southies and we wish him all the best for Saturday and for what lies ahead.

Has proved to be the right choice as Captain of the club, at 25 and with Fuller putting a 5 year plan into the club I think its a good long term decision made.

Agreed, a top bloke and a fine footballer who has got better with age, is someone we discribe as a true clubman who are the cornerstone players of all football clubs.

I think he is 28 and the only player at the club married/engaged. He can still be a captain in the premiership years!

Great "loyal" player for the club and has stuck with the team through "thick and thin" unlike some players that have left the club to find success elsewhere

Would be great to see him involved in some team success before hanging up the boots. (Doubt he’s played in more than about 40 wins during his career).

Yep well done, as a player he has always worried me (even when Zorb was able to curtail him) as he has stacks of ability, and to rack up such a number of games at a club that hasn't had the best of times is great testament to his dedication.
