What will South Adelaide fans be doing This Saturday?

Postby therisingblues » Wed Apr 28, 2010 8:25 pm

Just interested in what the South fans are doing especially considering the drama going on with the Magpies vs Power poll.
I actually think that this should be merged with that other thread but I don't have the magic powers of a mod, the best I can do is suggest things.

Please only South fans vote in the poll, but anyone who gives a damn can comment.
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

Gave up on the Crows several years ago after getting annoyed at the way I felt the club treated the SANFL clubs it sent players back to, especially when various players began ruling themselves out of finals campaigns. Hence the Showdown has little interest.

Perhaps it might be a small crowd at Alberton this Saturday, yet if you want to go to an SANFL match where the genuine supporters are, it will be a good example of that one might think!

Port at home are always a threat but these are valuable 2 points for the Panthers.
We need to continue with the momentum gained so far this season.
On form the Panthers look good, a game that would not be missed by any Panther stalwarts...

Big Phil wrote:With Lobbe likely to keep his spot with the Power for now, this will really test the rucking depth at Richmond...

Marc Borholm has been playing good footy in the 2's but is probably a little way off being a starting league ruckman...

He will certainly get the opportunity now to step up though with Westies not having too many other ruckman capable of doing the job...

Bad timing to have Lobbe with the Power and Brad Moran out long term for the Crows...

I'm sure West fans will agree that Ryan Willits has been struggling to make an impact at CHF and I think this will be a good opportunity to take his game to another level by stepping up in the ruck...

When he returns from his rib injury, would Ryan Ferguson be considered to play back up ruckman to Borholm perhaps ?

I think this may be in the wrong thread.

To answer your question - Ferguson wont be considered for ruck duties imo. Too valuable up forward or down back.

Willits definitely needs to step up now.

Would prefer to go to South game especially when they are playing half decent footy. When south are crap I would prefer to go to showdown. I am far more passionate about South than are Power. Although I have been to 04 and 07 GF's. It comes down to what you think you will get out of the game enjoyment wise.
SANFL easy to get to stand anywhere, have a kick with kids on oval when they come and have a few frothies as well. Couldnt beleive beer was $2 a can in outer at Noarlunga. Theres a tip for all fans.

It's crap scheduling.....
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.
