Yeah, they are for tapes of the NON-ABC TV broadcast games only though...

They just have the 1 camera angle and usually pick up the radio call of the game...

I remember paying $50 or $55 for a copy of the 2007 Central v North Grand Final so I know the ABC televised games have been around that mark for a while now...

Click on the link Big Phil and it lists all 4 games each round.

Even if they are just one angle its still a lot cheaper.

Check out the NB at the bottom of the page though mate, as below...

I know what you are saying there mate, but if you look closer at the drop down box for the game that was done by the ABC, you'll see you can only get the Reserves, U/18's and U/16's and there is no option to pick league, it's defaulted to the reserves automatically.

I remember contemplating getting the 2004 GF on DVD (taped first half on ABC then second half from Fox Footy) and remember it being $55 back then.

Well I guess there's one disadvantage of being a dogs supporter and that is forking out $55 each year.

For minor round games where the demand would be low that price is fair enough I guess.

But for a GF that's a rip off. If the ABC had any sense they would charge $30, and advertise it around the ground, the messenger, and say the SANFL site around GF day. They would make much more $$ than charging $50+

I know what you are saying about reducing the price of the high demand games, it's a valid point...

As for having to fork out coin for the Doggies Decade of Dominance, I have managed to set the timer and tape EVERY Grand Final the last 10 years and still have them now, bar the 2003 GF which I seemed to tape over (forgot the break the tab !!)

Yeah it is, seeing Matty Slade's soccer goal again will be worth it alone and a young Eddie Sansbury v Adam Cooney was an enjoyable battle to wacth as well...

The final result was just a bonus mate ;)

Best to tape it on weekends, cost eff all then. :)

Random question(and probably a stupid one), is there any commentary or anything in the lower grade matches? If yes, who by etc....?

No, I'm pretty certain there isn't any commentary for the reserves and Underage games on the DVD's.

The league games that are covered on local radio, either LifeFM or 5RPH just have the commentary picked up from that on the DVD's but the other games, you'd either have to wacth in silence, with some music playing or do a running commentary yourself as your watching it ;)

If there are 3 games of league on the same day, obviosuly only 2 can bve covered by the 2 radio stations mentioned above so there are some local guys that call that third game also, when required.

Ive been trying to get my hands on older SANFL Port games shown on ABC from the 80s and 90s. Wrote them an email asking what they had and they only mentioned the GFs (which were $55). Wrote one back asking if they had any minor round games in the archives that could be bought and didnt get a reply which I was annoyed with.

Cheaper to buy a $29 DTV USB stick from Zazz and make your own DVD
