Rd 4 - South v North @ Noarlunga (Sun 18/4)

This should be a great game at Noarlunga on Sunday, the Panthers will be fresh coming off a bye and still 'fuller' confidence from their enthusiastic start to the year.

North will know that they need to improve on the performance against the Maggies, certainly a lift in skill level is a must and they will be hoping for Nick Gill and / or Michael Wundke to come up so they have some forward targets to aim at.

Think this game will be won and lost in the midfield, the ruck contest will be interesting between Cockshell and Craig (possibly Alleway as well) while Liddle, Horne and Gotch should have a good battle with Allan, Archard and Wright.

Not sure which way this game will go, might just tip the homeside in a close one...

South by 3 goals...

No, I'm only joking, I reckon the Roosters by 130 points ;)

If you think they'll win by that much, that's your call, I'll let you be suprised if the result goes the way I suggested ;)

Yes, thanks ME, I realised that after I posted it, just used the template from the last round, changed the teams and venue, forgot to change 3 to 4

All done now :D

South are every chance of upsetting North this week IMO. Fresh after a week off, at home where we generally play OK, and North haven't been setting the comp alight.

you'd think north comfortably, however if north play like they did yesterday (skill level wise) they'll get beaten...north by 3 goals

It will be a close tussle this one panthers playing good footy at the moment & the roosters just getting over the line in the last two matches. North always plays well down south. don't think we have been beaten their for a while. ROOSTERS by 23pts.

If North play this week like they did for the bulk of yesterdays game (and the conditions could be very similar) then South will win. North play anywhere close to their potential then we should win comfortably.

Get off the fence OTR.

North will win.

Yeah i think North will get up very comfortably, maybe close at half time but North to press on in the second half for an easy victory.

Norths strength lies in their tall forwards and for me Souths weakness is there tall defenders. If the whether holds off i think North will kick 20 goals.

South are a side definatly on the improve and inplacing good structures but with any young side learning a new game plan there will be up and down weeks, i think this week maybe one of the down weeks.

Hopefully the weather will be good and a crowd of 3000 get out to watch this one. Jump on board South supporters there is alot to like at the direction the club is heading under Fuller.

Was at Norwood the other night when the Panthers got up - was like we had won the GF for us success starved Panther fans.
Very encouraging the amount of youth in the side, unfortunatley the young blokes don't stick for long at league clubs due to the lure of big bucks in the country.
I have no doubt the Panther bubble will burst this season but hopefully not for a few more weeks yet.

It will be very interesting to see how South come off the Bye. Must be due to get some hard players back in Sandery and Thewlis and maybe a few others. North are only just winning at moment which is good against Sturt but probably not against Port. Must win centre and I think south are building some real beleive in the likes of Cockshell, Liddle, Gotch etc. Traditionally south dont go well after bye. Time will tell if Ronny has got them focused and well drilled to stop Roosters flowing game style. Must stop Gill and Alleway. South on paper should with McKernan, Talia, McKenna and Crabb. Looking forward to going down there first time this year. If you go off of form will be close and South will just get up, if you go on history North by 8-10 goals

A real test for South this week. We'll know how much we have progressed since last year after this. On paper North seem to be strong up forward, with Alleway and Gill. South have really picked up in the mid field this year with some good recruits, if we can win our share at the stoppages and give Warren some good delivery an upset could be on the cards.
Go panthers!

I know South have had an ok start to the season but because we are so used to seeing South firmly at the bottom of the table your form is a tad overrated. Not sure how you guys would win on form as you drew with Sturt (who we beat) and only just scraped over the line against a struggling Norwood side.

If the good North turn up we should win by a few goals, if not then it would be a close and scrappy game. Not happy about having a Noarlunga match on Sunday though.
