Was listening to the Eagles v Legs game today and I heard on the radio that one of the umps pinged a player for diving.
I haven't heard of this before, is this a new rule?

certainly a new rule in the AwFL JTC. The SANFL is usually 12 months behind in implementing those rules though?

I missed that one, but at times umpires have been known to invent free kicks.

Did they happen to mention Zorzi getting done for kicking in danger when no opposition player was near him at the time? Today's umpires were definitely making things up as they went along, they were almost as bad as the standard of the game. I probably saw the diving one, but like so many others today, I had no idea what it was for.
Oh ... did I mention one of the men in white today were part of the trio who Bassett abused last weekend? Hmmmmm.
