As part of my Magpie membership I receive an electronic copy of the newsletter from round to round.

You may or may not be interested, but if other clubs do similar I intend on posting the Magpie Newsletter each week and encourage other clubs fans to post theirs too. I would like to see what other clubs offer and present to members if possible.

Note the special guests at the pre match luncheon - Magarey Medallists Russell Ebert and Barrie Robran. Worth paying $50 just to be in their presence. My only gripe is referring to them just as Magarey Medallists is a bit like referring to Don Bradman as a test cricketer. There have been about 100 Magarey medallists - but most of the rest shouldn't be mentioned in the same breath as Ebert and Robran

I don't think you could say most of the rest aren't worthy as there has been some absolute champions win the magary.

But I agree that these two are head and shoulders.

That is exactly what I meant. Most of the rest are worth Magarey Medallists. Very few, if any of the rest, should be mentioned in the same breath as these two gentlemen.

Never saw either of Bob Hank or Lindsay Head play but would think they would be in the same breath.
Both were at the Eagles sponsors night a few weeks back, I think great that past players such as the ones we are discussing are still staunch supporters of their clubs and are still have an involvement and give their time to speak not only at lunches but to joe public who walks up for a yack at the game.
