Is it just me or has the media coverage for the SANFL 2010 season been the best we have seen in years. The messengers commitment to the SANFL has to be admired and it seems it has meant the Advertiser has had to step up a bit.
Only been a week but what a season 2010 shapes up to be.
With South and Port looking to be more competitive than expected.North and Sturt having poor results round 1, are they a sign of things to come or will they be looked back at as irrelevant at season end.
Glenelg after a contraversial pre-season played well to beat the legs by 13 goal. Not alot has been made of it I guess due they were expected to win. But I didnt expect that margin.
Dogs keep rolling on. And how much can West improve ?????
SANFL footy is back. PUMPED!!!

Couldn't agree more UKFan, massive month for the Dogs and there supporters, starting with West at home next week, should be a cracker especially if West get up today.
Then a Sunday trip to the bay which is always a brilliant day out especially last year, followed by the first ANZAC Day game in the beff.
AND then two away trips in a row to Prospect and Alberton which always provide endless entertainment.
Absolutly pumped about my next 6 weekends.

Surely there'll be a Port supporter on here in a minute stating that the increased coverage is because of how important the are to the league

You're right though. Should be a cracker of a season. Pity I can't make the ANZAC game because of work. Unless I'm not feeling well that day

If I'm not well I'm sure a beer with whufc will fix me up.

I think the results have taken a few by surprise, few punters would have placed South in the five at the conclusion of Round 2, or for West Adelaide to have beaten North in round one. Port Adelaide have every reason to justify to themselves finishing bottom yet have come out stinging and despite not having won either match have come out and been a lot more competitive that what people thought. Interested in results for North, Sturt and the Eagles over the next few rounds to give us some indication of where its heading, yet I do feel that the results so far have seen increased interest in the SANFL from the punters which isn't a bad thing!

great post totally agree,
The good thing about early wins to South and West is that it will make the top 5 more competitive and tight and won't be set by mid season, meaning games will have more importance and i think attendance will therefore benefit.
