Here is the weekly nominee for Round 9:

Central's Corey Reichert

Congratulations to Corey Reichert of Central District Football Club, the Round 9 Powerade Star Search Award winner.

The 21 year old played on Scott Welsh in Central’s clash against the Eagles on the weekend, keeping the more experienced player to three goals.

It was Reichert’s third League match. Judges said while Reichert did not rack up big stats (two kicks, one mark, seven handballs), his defensive pressure was admirable and he nullified the Eagles’ attacking forward movement on many occasions throughout the game.
