Im sure someone on here will still find something to complain about. Looks very good IMO and better than any coverage we have had before.

A few weeks ago I noticed that a "SANFL" tab had been added which I thought was a great move, looks like it's be replaced with a "LocalFootySA" tab and some ammatuer news has been added, either way it's a positive step, should have happened a lot sooner but better late than never, well done Adelaide Now / Advertiser

Looks good. On the Westies page, one of the main page articles is about finding a coach to replace Wayne Weiderman

It has alot of archived articles at the moment (Centrals page has stuff about the GF build up). With the combined resources of Messenger and AdelaideNow, during the season it should give us access to some great articles that would often be too hard to find without someone posting a link to it.

Yeah apparently Ian Perrie has left North for Sturt, and Jars has agreed to stay on for another year.

Any positive coverage is better than no coverage.

For what its worth, I think the messenger articles have in the main been very good, not just short tit bits but good sized positive stories. Down South, we need that sort of coverage to help build a small supporter base.

They're now putting up highlights of each match. They say they've got round 3,4 and 5 up (though round 3 isn't working and I can't find round 5), with round 6 to be up tomorrow, and future rounds up by noon Monday.

I think this is fantastic and well done to AdelaideNow for putting them up

Also the live coverage they sometimes have for a match is fantastic. Live description with detail as the match is in progress. Very interactive as well. I think it is Jai Bednall doing it. Brilliant coverage for the SANFL (to go along with this site).

Bouquets galore from me to Jai and co for this "local footy" tab. It's a quantum leap forward for the SANFL coverage (plus the ammos too) and some of the articles (eg Monday Morning Centreman) are outstanding in quality, as well as though provoking.

It is a great initiative by the people involved and certainly enhances the coverage of our great competition...

It's the combined resources of the Advertiser, Sunday Mail and Messenger, with all their SANFL relates stories, interviews and match reports having links on here. So essentially, you can have access to material that is being printed for publication the next day in the relevant papers.

As far as I know, Kym Morgan, Jai Bednall and Jeff Crawford are the main contributors to it then the links to match reviews and other articles by Reece Homfray, Zac Milbank and Warren Partland are then also available as well.

Really enjoy the interaction with the live blogs at selected games, the Monday Morning Centrman by Jai is a great read and in general, the quality of news has improved ten fold.

Well done AdelaideNow and all involved, keep up the good work...

Maybe it is Reece Homfray that does the live blogs? Not Jai Bednall like I said before...

Reece did the blog for the Norwood v Sturt game, but I know Zac Milbank did the Central v Sturt ANZAC Day blog...

I think it just a case of who is playing where, the imprtance of the game and who is available at the time to do the blog...

The Local Footy SA page has been fabulous this season.

Saw another good initiative I reckon should be a monty our SA Footy Forum enthusiasts: HIT US WITH YOUR BEST SHOT

 http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/sport/afl ... 5882933729

"SANFL fans - get your cameras and pens ready.
LocalfootySA is looking for the best reader photos and reader rants in our `Hit us with your best shot' competition.

The competition starts this weekend, round 14, and runs for the final 10 rounds of the home-and-away season.

Weekly winners receive a double pass to any SANFL regular season game, and go in the running for the major end-of-year prizes.

Winner of the best photograph will get a digital camera valued at $300, and winner of the best `reader rant' where you can have your say on any SANFL team or issue receives a $300 JB Hifi voucher."

And the regular poster under the name of Mark Newell is perhaps the most hilariously dense SANFL Fan in Adelaide.
