In previous matches the margin has been Sturt by 70-100 pts, Despite tipping Sturt to win the match I do think the margin will be less this time around, will be interesting to see how we go against a top three side in the opening round after a strong preseason and some good recruiting into the club.

Thanks for that Phil. I'll plug the walkman in before work and I'll listen to it while guzzling a few beers after I knock off.
One thing though, last year Life FM would cut out if too many people tuned in over the net. Have there been any developments regarding this problem?
It is the only complaint I have, but it is a huge let down when I discover that I have recorded less than five minutes of the call, the game is over and all that's left is the game summaries on the blogs.
Looking forward to this first game of the year, the first 2 real points up for grabs.
I wish I could jump on a plane for the first game of each year.

HI TRB,
That is the first I have heard about LifeFm's cast dropping out (bar Prelim Final day when we had issues with the whole broadcast).
Our max capacity was 420 acheived 2008 Magarey Medal night. We had about 200 max for last years GF.
Are you sure it is LifeFM and not RPH you mean, I know RPH had issues for certain games .. ask Jas.
Please confirm itis LifeFM U are talking about & I will pass it on.
Cheers
PhilH

I don't think the margin will be that great. I reckon Sturt by 4 goals with a late surge.

Hi Phil H.
Sorry, I think it must be RPH I am thinking of. Probably the Preliminary final broadcast made me mix Life and RPH together.
Thanks for bringing the SANFL overseas to us footy starved ex-pats.

Well Round 1 is finally here

Looking forward to how we go under the new coach, and particularly keen to see the likes of Liddle and O’Keefe in the blue and white for the first time. Ruck is still a concern, as I’d much rather see Cockshell leading up from CHF, but to his credit he does give his all as an undersized ruckman.
Without having seen a trial, from what I’ve read on here the type of aggressive and committed footy we played last week sounded very similar to the footy produced in the early stages under Jack. (the pressure applied to Glg and PA early that year was very un-south like! Pity it only lasted a few weeks)
Good to see Rolfe in the goal-kickers list in the trials, was a big loss towards the end of the year. I’d consider him one of our most important/influencial players.
We’ve been Sturt's whipping boys for a while now, so lets hope that can change.

don't be suprised to see the Panthers give this one a real shake. I understand they have been playing up the Sturt CEO's comments in the Messenger a few months back about how appaulled a prestigous Club like Sturt were to be sent to lowly Noarlunga for Rd 1. I reckon there might be a few sore Sturt boys come saturday night.

Yeah from the ball touching their hands and hitting their feet too much.

the panthers may be in Strife if you have McKernan in the ruck and Forward Pocket at the one time, unless Corey is out of Retirement and playing for them...
