friday 26th

west v north on what i've seen i think north will be too slick & strong for west, west on the other hand will be pumped up to win their first home game at richmond underlights but i doubt that will be enough..north by 6 goals

Unfortunately Im inclined to agree. Bennett will straighten us up a little on what happened today but unfortunately I cant see us getting over the line.

Make no mistake this is a huge game for both clubs in terms of their finals chances.

West will catch North on the hop in the first round.

Several posts about WA flooding in a some of the trial games
Against EG in ther last trial it was mentioned how pronounced the flood was

FLOODing is an exacting game plan, when good sides play it well they get degrees of success
However when lesser teams lose games with that gameplan it can be painful for the supporters of those clubs to follow and watch

Will be an interesting season for WA
Last season they earnt some respect in the SANFL
But the gameplan did at times frustrate the supporters when the team lost or played below thier better form
It even frustrated me watching them one day vrs PA at Alberton last year

Andy Collins has gotta do what heez gotta do

As for the FLOODing gameplan
If WA win lotsa games it will be considered a degree of success
If WA has a poor season no doubt the gameplan will be heavily scrutinised and criticised

QUESTION

WA barrackers
Are you entirely happy with the FLOODing ?

So what you are saying is whoever loses won't play finals footy this year? And here I was thinking it was only Rd1.

Two points.

1. Have a look at the posters who are going on about West flooding.

2. I'm sure West fans don't care as long as they win football games.

West to start the year on the right note ... expect a fairly close game though.

(-| Here we go again.

EVERY club floods - even Centrals. They just do it better than everyone else.

Mal, how many times must it be said that there is no game plan to flood.

All teams help out in defence and fold back when they have to.

It's not 1972 any more.

I'll guarantee that yesterday there were times when there were no players in each sides forward area.
