Hi everyone
- Broadcast Allocation from the SANFL follows.
- Good news, every game is on either TV or radio.
- And for those outside of TV reception only 2 are not on radio (will advise something about those a little later so keep an eye on this thread).
- And yes your eyes do not deceive you, LifeFM is doing two games on Sat Mar 27, Noarlunga in the Afternoon, Elizabeth at Night to ensure all Rd 1 games are on radio.

Rd 1
Fri Mar 26 (Night) - West v North - RPH
Sat Mar 27 (Aft) - South v Sturt - ABC TV / LIFE
Sat Mar 27 (Twi) - Glenelg v Norwood - RPH
Sat Mar 27 (Night) - Central v Port - LIFE

Rd 2
Thur April 1 (Night) - Norwood v South - RPH
Sat April 3 - West v Glenelg - LIFE
Sat April 3 - Eagles v Port - ABC TV

Sat April 10 - Eagles v Norwood - LIFE

Great to see LifeFM doing a double in the opening round as you mentioned, also pleased to see that all but 2 games are being covered...

LifeFM are certainly hoping Doug Oakley will be available to call as many games as possible this year bundy.

His job meant that last season he was unavailable for some games, but we'll have him on board at various stages throughout this season, depending on his availability with the work situation.

We will certainly keep you posted, I know I really enjoy working with Doug, he is an allround nice guy, very knowledgable and is a great caller of SANFL footy.

Phil Herden, John Nankevill, Chris Kendall and myself (down on the boundary line) will be involved in the broadcast at LifeFM once again this season, hopefully Doug also as mentioned above.

Shouldn't come in to it, all teams should get an even allocation which equates to even exposure. On the basis of blockbusters I would never get to see my Panthers play as a country supporter.

We only got 1 game on TV for the whole year when we were bottom. I don't have a problem with that as they should be trying to promote the game and get more people interested.
Having said that the main issue these days appears to be the day clubs want to play, if supporters are annoyed that they get less TV games than others because their club wants to play at times other than Saturday afternoon then the supporters should take it up with their clubs.
Logistics is probably an issue too which is fair enough.

I couldnt care less about how many times Norwood are on TV. If I cant get to the game it usually means I cant watch on TV either. Give me a Friday night game over a Saturday arvo if it means more crowds.

Of course, no advertising on ABC!

I'm sure the TV channels in Perth would show Melbourne v Freo ahead of Geelong v Saints though regardless of the quality of football on display!!!

Exactly, and it'd be a fair point if Alberton and Woodville got different TV to the rest of the state. Do they even have electricity yet? :lol:

Electricity? Lets not get ahead of ourselves. Running water is planned for later this year.
