After being impressedby the Legs on Saturday at Elizabeth, reckon I will head down to this one on Friday night to see how Norwood back up their good performance.

Panthers have some good new recruits finding their feet in this league and desite getting beat by Port last week, will be looking for their first win under Fuller.

Really looking forward to seeing the new 'lux' output from the lighting upgrade at Coopers Stadium.

Norwood by 7 goals for mine...

Fair enough, I must have read it wrong in the Trial Game Blog from Norwood's web site...

http://www.norwoodfc.com.au/News/LATESTNEWS/TrialMatch.aspx

"This week we have South at home on Friday night so if you can get here to look at some shining new lights at Coopers Stadium, as well as four new light towers, then I think you won’t be disappointed".

Injuries already hitting the Panthers with some long term outs for quality players like Sandery, Thewlis, Turner. It's going to be a while for Ron's first victory with our best watching from the stands :(

Suck to hear that at anytime, but particularly this time of the year after the boys have put in the hard yards over summer ... What's the nature of their injuries and how long are they expected to be on the sidelines?

They must have the lights on display but not operational. I might just head down to Target instead to have a look at their shining new lights as I probably won't be as disappointed. ;)

I think, Turner knee 6 weeks, Sandery foot indefinite, Thewlis Abdominal Strain (??) 4 weeks.

What hurts the most is their all back 6 and we are not overly strong back there.

good result to give the south faithful some hope, but remember it is only a trial game although i'm hoping the bookies take same notice of it & give up better odds than they should be for sturt this week  ;)

Just got home. Sad thing is, Norwood are normally pretty good in trial matches. :? We were terrible, but at least we were missing many quality players, off the top of my head Trotter, Campbell, Zorz, Doyle, Young, sure many others.

South were extremely good though, the best I've seen them in ages. Committed, hungry, working for one another, plenty of voice, quick ball movement. Plenty of players impressed. They'll want to hold onto van Berlo though, he was outstanding.

I know they're only trials, but some interesting trial form from Norwood - they thump the reigning premiers one week then lose to the reigning wooden spooners the next.

Just shows you can never read too much into trial game form
