North v Glenelg Trial @ Footy Pk No 3 13/3/10

Postby Wedgie » Fri Mar 12, 2010 8:28 am

North playing a lot more league players than last week, team here:
http://www.nafc.com.au/teams/league.aspx

I always enjoy Footy Park No3 as you can drive onto it with your esky, BBQ, etc.
Glad I pit up this post as it reminded me it's my Mums birthday tomorrow!
Anyone know what happened to Footy Park No2? ls it now a carpark or something?

That's a strong looking side.

Can any North supporter tell me more about Potts, please?

I can help you there. Pots have a variety of uses. You have stainless steel ones for cooking, plastic and terracotta ones for plants.
Its also what Victorians call a schooner.

Where's Footy Park no.3. There's Max Basheer Oval next to AAMI.

Footy Pk No 3 is what some refer to as Max Basheer reserve, I stick to ovals original names to avoid confusion. I once played a game at Footy Pk No 3 and it was the exact same dimensions as Footy Pk No 1, deceptively big, not sure if that is still the case.

PS Youll notice in the Next Rd part of the index page I will also refer to Richmond, Elizabeth, Noarlunga and Elizabeth. I like to be consistent in this area.

Potts is a very promising half back/onballer who played a number of Reserves games last year, running fourth in the B&F. Uses the ball very well and able to push through the middle a number of times. A little outside at times, but thought he was unlucky not to be drafted last year. Finishes off well when he gets the odd chance near goal. Should be pushing hard for a league spot this season.
