Where will the Eagles finish in 2010?

Where do you see the Eagles finishing in 2010? Will Godden take the side forward, backwards or remain in the same position as 2009?

In all seriousness, the Eagles are a real unknown factor to me, you'd say on the last decade's results they'll be around the mark but with a new coach you never know.
He might improve them from last year, he might send them the other way.
I can see them coming anywhere between 2nd and 6th, yeah I know I'm really sitting on the fence with that one!
Mind you there's about 4 clubs I can see coming anywhere between 2nd and 6th with Central above them and Norwood, Port and South below them.
Will probably all come down to injuries and how the coaches go.

I am in the same boat as Wedgie in that they present an unknown quantity from my point of view. Micky Godden will be great for them I am sure, even if only from player/coach relationships given the strong word out of Oval Ave always alluded to that not being the case with Fuller.
I voted 5th as I don't believe the top five will change too much from 2009.

Pretty much agree Wedgie.
I reckon the order will be:
Sturt
Centrals
Glenelg
North
West
Glenelg, North and West will finish in this order, but the Eagles could be slotted anywhere from 3rd to 6th amongst these teams.

As an Eagles fan I agree we are an unknown quantity this year.
Having Treeby and Powell fit and regular members of the team will be a big bonus if they stay on the park. Biggest unknown is what impact Welsh will have on the forward line. Could be seen as a great recruit but if it doesn't work will be viewed as a flop. Losing McGregor will be felt - could play at either end of the ground and a regular performer.
We've also got a contingent of fringe Power players - Broady, Banner, Schultz - working out how to fit these guys in best will be interesting. Will be more than happy if Choco continues not to play Broady and stick with the "proven" old hacks like he did last year.
I think we'll be in the finals but whether we can rise to the top 3 is the question.
Whatever happens hopefully we'll have some fun finding out!

Like your mob have these last few years , in the stinking Pat ? Listening to Backwell on the radio the other night , I reckon hes going to punt on Mickan not being at the Bays next year .......... doesnt sound like a totally united group to me . Has the coach worn out his welcome I wonder ? The Bays undoubtedly are under the most pressure , both inside and out , to win a flag in 2010 !
