results wise i would expect the Eagles to win real comfortable. They already have one game under their belt so they will probably be alot more match fit.

For Central i wouldn't be surprised to see most of these players (GowansX2, O'Sullivan, Cochrane, Schell, Switala) all not playing which will provide a great oppurtunity for a few young lads to step up and have a crack in the league game.

Im very interested to see
-J.Boyd (obviously main recruit this season)
-C.Milne (while only being young apparently he did well in the internal and runs extremly well)
-L.Habel (dominated the clubs internal trial, and has burnt over pre season, expecting a big year from him)
-N.White (i expect this bloke will get a crack in the league at some stage this year, like him alot reckon he will be a very good full back)
-T.Dunne, C.Musolino, A.Duncan (looking for these type blokes to step up in the trial games and try an earn a round one call up)

I am actually looking forward to the Eagles facing an opponent who will put up some sort of a fight.
Just to see the faster game style work under more pressure.
Also looking forward to see if Hoben, Thompson,Lewis,Matz etc get a call up .

I don't know for sure that we will see a 'full strength' Central outfit, as whufc mentioned there are some more senior and experienced players who are coming off very limited pre-seasons so we may see quite a few youngsters given an opportunity at senior level.

Like whufc, really looking forward to seeing the likes of Habel, White and Duncan stepping up for the Dogs in 2010, but just looking forward to seeing them in action for the first time on Friday night. I would think the Eagles will win pretty comfortably as well.

Centrals normally send out a second string side for the first trial, gradually leading to a near full-strength side in the third trial.
They don't keep me here because I'm gorgeous and 5'10

That is ridiculous IMO. Surely coming off a hot summer the ground could handle a day or two of rain and a game or two. The AFL is becoming, some would say has become, very precious.

tell the AFL to get ......

Unless its in the contract to host the AFL challenge, that they have the right to dictate useage 24 hours before the game, the CDFC should stand up for itself and play the games.

It took almost 20 years of AFL in SA to get a game at Elizabeth, its not like the next one will be anytime soon.

Issue they have is how many Bulldog and Eagle players / coaches / officials have scheduled something for their free weekend and aren't planning to be around to play a game on Saturday.

Unless they can find a night venue at short notice to keep on Friday Night, Thebe only option there given Adelaide & Norwood out of action.

Seriously, a tropical downpour I could start to have some inkling of understanding, a few showers you are kidding me.

Unless, like PhilH mentions, it is in an agreement, what a bunch of arrogant f*ckwits.
How about when they play 3 games a weekend at the same ground during winter?

Why doesn't Dimwit take the issue up with God - how dare he have the temerity to even think about brewing up some rain. Only problem is, if someone suggested this, he'd be found talking to a mirror.
