What should the name of the Port Adelaide AFL entity be ?

Tell us your thoughts once and for all - would you support a Port side not called Port Adelaide.

My vote is for Southern Power - I would even consider buying a membership.

A question for all you neutrals out there would you consider buying a membership, attending games of a club called Adelaide or Southern rather than Port Adelaide.

Interesting that 4 votes so far none for Port Adelaide.

I thought it was fairly legit to ask... if port want to expand their membership base and strengthen financially it could be a legitimate consideration

For the record i voted 'port adelaide' but only because i like having them as the official enemy. whether or not they make any money (or survive) is someone elses concern

none of the above they shouldnt have even taken the port name at all that clearly belongs to the magpies maybe they should be known as the alberton thieves as they clearly stole what port magpies had

Southern Power gives the impression of being from the Southern Suburbs, even though it it is meant to keep in with with South Australian feeling.
It's a bit like Central Districts name suggests they should be from the Central region of Adelaide, but are more north than North Adelaide.

I hope there aren't any marketing gurus who take this line of thinking seriously, as PAFC don't the money to waste on feasibility studies and research consultants, let alone the bombardment of advertising $$$.
It's too late., The focus on the Port Adelaide FC heritage to build their brand around - living the creed.... established in 1870 etc has caused much discussion and dissention. I believe The Brand is now linked too well in the minds of the our generation of fans to change track now.

Why is this even being touted? Do Port have to change their name for some reason that I've missed?

My teams are called Port Adelaide

The Adelaide Skunks, it would keep their black and white heritage alive. They could ditch the teal for a yellow stripe running down the back of the jumper.

All rather qualified, but if they lost the Port Adelaide name, the Port coach, culture, and administration, and the black and white colours, then I'd think about it.

Not a chance in hell I wouldn't buy a Crows membership but there would be a hell of a lot more chance of that happening!
