Then the merger came up and I thought it was a good way to stay in the SANFL without ever being a power house club again.
Well after last night there is going to be one of two responses.
1 - Magpies fold
2 - the SANFL has stirred up enough supporters like me that say **** you, you barstards we will kill you. Thus the re birth of the premiership winning Port Adelaide. The irony is the sanfl clubs will only have themselves to blame.
In summary thank you to the SANFL clubs for rekindling my love for the magpies and even better thank you for rekindling my hate for other SANFL clubs.

Obviously a diehard supporter if it took this to "rekindle your love for the magpies".

Exactly. I'm hearing Power supporters who had no time for the Magpies suddenly wanting them around.

Emotions are a funny thing, people all have different triggers to get their emotions going. Port has always thrived on the us against them mentallity (even when it didn't really exist). I think last night the SANFL ignited that emotion in a lot of fringe supporters.
