To be honest with ya Wedgie. I would think there is easily some better photos on this site than those Advertiser shots that won awards IMHO.

Agreed mate, you've got me brainstorming with the mods with this great idea, I'd be willing to personally put up some prizes for the winners, thinking perhaps a panel or myself picks out the best 5 or 6 each week and get everyone else to vote for what they think is the best one.
Then at the end of the season a vote for the best one with some cool prizes!
(I'll be excluded from the comp of course)

Bugger, can I still submit my favourite from my pics last year into this years comp Jaenschy doing his best Spiderman impression. I submitted it to a Picture comp last year and got third place, $250

great idea, maybe the winner could be decided by a poll, where all Safooty members get one vote each.

Does it have to be restricted to SANFL photos, some of us dont get to many games due to local commitments?

I miss a lot of the great photos that turn up on here out of my own laziness. If the very best were put up in lights to vote on we'd all see just what high standard of photographers we have posting on here.

Yeah I'll pick a best of every now and then and ask people to vote.
We're not getting as many pics as we did in previous year.
Can blame myself for part of that!
