I like the idea of a temporary sub forum as if everything was in the same thread it would be an even bigger mess IMHO. Thoughts?

Not that it should be seen as the standard for forums but BigFooty create temporary sub-forums for hot issues and it works well to keep the main board uncluttered. It also helps keeps the number of new threads down and gives users one place to go (and one to avoid if they want to!) for anything to do with the hot topic
