Yep, that's what I've heard. Tear in the tendon that attaches the bicep to the shoulder. Having surgery.

Think you've just confirmed the level of intelligence of most South Adelaide supporters  If I recall South actually recruited Parry from Port Magpies and look how that ended up! I think you'll find Parry wanted to participate in finals hence his departure from the basket case at Noarlunga. Most would claim Scotty Welsh as RECRUIT OF THE YEAR!

Yes, I'm not sure why a Panther is laughing at losing Craig Parry. One of their few shining lights one would suggest.

Many South supporters like myself recognise Craig Parry's input into every game he played at South as being excellent, supported by his continual State selection, he is a fine footballer and will be missed at SAFC.

Well said Mr.Darley. I was not happy to see him leave the Magpies and I cant see why any South person would feel any different. ( To him leaving South )

For the Eagles or the entire SANFL? Parry wanted to attend Las Vegas for 10 days during the season was the reason why he left.

Craig Parry injury

Monday, 18 January 2010.

The WWTFC can confirm that recruit Craig Parry will undergo minor surgery on a damaged tendon in his shoulder tomorrow.

It is envisaged that the injury will take 12 weeks for Parry to return to full fitness, meaning a likely return date of either the Round 5 clash with South Adelaide or the Round 6 match against West Adelaide.

Parry said of the situation "Although the injury is one that I am sure I could have carried through the season, the Club and I have made the decision to have it repaired now so as to be 100% fit when I commence playing. I look forward to resuming training again in a few week’s time".

Coach Michael Godden said “In making this decision the Club has weighed up the long term benefits of having him at peak fitness when he begins playing against the short term benefits of having him available from the earliest possible point in the season”.

“Clearly the situation is not ideal but we believe that giving Craig the necessary time to rehabilitate his shoulder after minor surgery makes more sense than to ask him to play with the injury, which he could have done”.

Regards

WWTFC.

Seems the club may have learned from the Treeby and Powell injuries of 09.Better for short term pain and long term gain.

... then went to the Magpies, who provided your club a good transfer fee for him, did jack sh1t and walked away from SANFL. You should be thanking Fuller for that. L-)

Wonder if same thing will occur with Parry ... x_x
