Will he be playing for Glenelg next year?

How do Bays fans feel about him given his disgraceful no show during the finals?

You can have Reilly in exchange for him then. He's too good for SANFL finals aswell.

Wasn't there some whispers doing the rounds that Douglas would be at the Panthers next season ???

Not that I've heard and I would be very surprised.

I think the AFL players who play a few games in the SANFL can find themselves in a "damned if u dont, damned if u do" situation re playing in finals:
- on one hand the supporters and the club and coach probably want the best team on the park, on the other hand sometimes the AFL player may feel that he is depriving a local SANFL player from playing in a final....
- whether or not that 2nd scenario applied in Douglas' case i dont know.

I Thought Dougy came out of contract and didnt want to pick up an injury that may hinder him getting another contract or being traded, recruited by another club. I may be wrong but i undertsand that as being the reason, and if so i think he did the right thing

that was definately the word back in october/november but haven't heard much since....just my opinion but i'd be very surprised if he played for glenelg in 2010 if not selected by adelaide & yes south was the team mentioned that he would go to

Personally, I didnt have a problem with him not playing for us in the finals.
It would have been nice, but he hardly played all year for us anyway.

Concur.

Plus, he will remain at the Bay.

I don't think he had to play but he he spent both games down in the bar at AAMI stadium. He could have at least watched the game.

to draw an analogy - he's coming down into a lower grade in which he doesn't train with and only played three games - the players in the side would have the right to be disappointed if he took one of their spots, correspondingly he may have made a difference but he has the right to say no to finals if he feels that he would not be deserving a spot in the side rather than somebody who has played there all year.

if someone doesn't feel like they're 100% right for a finals game i'd sooner have somebody else - this shouldn't matter if its a physical or mental malaise.

do crow/power listed players not named train with local affiliated sides? perhaps this could lead to closer ties as well.
