2010 SANFL Season Guide - NOW AVAILABLE

Postby PhilH » Mon Dec 14, 2009 6:58 pm

Hi everyone,

As mentioned a month or two back Peter Argent & I have come to an agreement with the SANFL regarding the production of an official 2010 SANFL Season Guide.

As a bit of background ....

The guide has had differing forms in recent years, the first in 2006 was a photocopied ring bound unofficial publication I compiled with about 30 people helping out.

There was no guide in 2007 (I was at South Adelaide) and attempts for an official one in 2008 fell through late, so Peter Argent & I teamed up (again with a lot of helpers) to produce another unofficial SA Football Media Guide at pretty short notice.

The 2009 SANFL Seaon Guide was the first official version which the SANFL published & distributed. Peter, myself and others providing assistance with content and checking.

For 2010, Peter & I have reached agreement with the SANFL to again do an official guide, with us responsible for the publishing and distributing and the SANFL assisting with promotion.

so .........

similar to 2008 we again looking for people interested in contributing to what is becoming the annual bible for SANFL fans to follow the league through the season.

Roles can be either as a contributor (ie writing an article) or as a proof reader.

We are looking at holding a proof reading session in late January at AAMI Stadium but for those who want to help at home we already have the
- SA Football Hall of Fame profile,
- Head to Head records
- many Team, Venue & Final statistics
ready for checking right now.

The remaining records plus club previews etc will be completed over the next 2 months.

All those who assist with contributing receive
- free copy of the season guide
- recognition in the guide as a contributor, with a profile piece and season prediction
- invitation to the SANFL Season Launch (doubles as book launch).

If you would like to assist please e-mail me at ausgrid@esc.net.au.

Cheers
Phil Herden

When will it be avaliable and where?
2017, 2019 & 2020 PREMIERS
RICHMOND, RICHMOND, RICHMOND.

Let that be a lesson to you Sturt. You don't beat Glenelg 3 times in a row in Grand Finals and get away with it.

It's 'official' launch will be on Wednesday 17th March I believe at the official SANFL Season Launch down at Richmond Oval...

Then I'm pretty sure they will be available at all SANFL venues and of course, like Wedgie mentioned, can be pre-ordered via this site...

I hope the pre-order numbers are stacking up nicely Phil, I've just ordered mine. Got my DoD posting back to Adelaide so I'll be able to see many more Redlegs games this year than ever before (well since I was 8yo!) Well done, can't wait to get mine in the mail box and get stuck into season 2010!
C'mon you Reds....Adelaide United = its just like watching Brasil!!!

I love both footy[NOT the V/AFL!] and soccer, is that even allowed??;)
