North Adelaide wins Clubs SA 2009 Awards of Excellence

The SANFL congratulates the North Adelaide Football Club (NAFC) on winning two awards in the Clubs SA Awards of Excellence held on Saturday night.
Best Gaming Machine Venue
In arguably the hottest category of the night, North Adelaide’s Grand North was announced the winner of the Best Gaming Machine Venue category.
Clubs SA President’s Citation
In recognition of an outstanding individual contribution to a local Club, NAFC President Bohdan Jaworskyj was awarded the Clubs SA President’s Citation.

I would say Mr.G.Fahey and Mr.P.Hurley would not be happy. I know they used to pride themselves on winning this award

It is a clubs award, not a pubs award, I think it only covers the clubs in the state, not the pubs too.

Exactly. Is it really necessary to have an award for this? Even leaving aside the politics of it, it's sort of pathetic isn't it?

Why have any award in any industry?
Either way its a fantastic advertisement for North's venue (similar to best restaurants, hotels, motels, bakery, tourist destination, etc) and to a lesser extent the SANFL and our sport that one of our clubs can knock off other sports and even an AFL club when it comes to creating a great venue.
Would have had some tough competition I'd imagine from clubs such as Adelaide City and many others I'm not aware of.

IMO the award for gaming i think is more of the presentation of the room e.g layout, decor setup, service.
