another Rumour

Port Adelaide rumoured to merge with a side in the Western Suburbs.
Not sure who but I will do anything I can for it not to be with the Eagles.
No way in hell sorry but no no no

A Port/Glenelg union would be interesting. 8) ;)
But I would have thought the other western teams would prefer to see Port go under....

There could be black, white, blue, green, and gold, hoops with an emblem that looks like the product of a mating between an eagle and magpie.
But, I guess red, white, and black, for "Westport" would be more manageable, if less funny.

I would have thought it's either Port as-is or fold ... a merger doesn't make any sense when the AFL animal has taken the identity anyway.

Exactly, the whole idea was to keep the Port Adelaide identity in the SANFL. A merger would defeat the purpose.

Even more of a shame if they fold now that we've established that the Magpies are the original club and the Power have stolen their history.
It's all the SANFL's fault.

Hasn't this "rumour" been mentioned in two different threads already???
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

I'm starting arumour that Port are just foxing and are financially strong. I don't want them to go under until we have won more flags than then and beatten them in more finals than they have beaten us :(
