Good, Bad or Ugly....

Postby SABRE » Mon Oct 12, 2009 6:34 pm

....is there a song from any era that best describes how your club is going at the moment ?

And is there a tune you'd say best describes how you feel about other clubs ?

:-?
Could this get out of hand ?
Well, it's going to be a looooong off season, so one can only hope !

Centrals song could be from ABBA's hits with "Money,Money,Money!"

Centurion is obviously one of the wisest, well researched music lovers on this entire site. "Broke Again" is one from the archives. :)

Not all footy fans like this music of the young people of today, which is entirely composed on computer, set to a beat that would rival the most excited heartrate per minute, and features videos with people wearing pants that could comfortably fit two people. These people are wearing enough gold to rival the GDP of some countries, and seem to need to slide all over expensive car bonnets in said video, while making hand gestures that are considered offensive in some countries, all the while roaring about the toughness of life in the backstreets of Struggle Town, as they compose said song from the comforts of their LA Mansion.

In short, LRB, while from an era when beards and flares were considered uniform, remain one of this country's best musical options.

(climbs off soapbox and happily puts on the "After Hours" album, having just taken "Hotel California" off the turntable)

I thought I'd better not come up with a Split Enz title for Westies, but after that stirling defence, CK, I think I'll start researching again ;)

You've perfectly safe with me and Spilt Enz, R&B. Another that feature heavily in the vinyl collection of the CK household. Another group from the days when rhythm, well thought out lyrics and a beat were actually still important in music, not how good the video looked :)

(I'd better quit while I'm ahead, people may soon start doubting I'm only 36. Most of my mates feel my music tastes are mired somewhere in 1974. I'm happy to take that rap)

Dude, you wouldn't even fit a leg in Beyonce's pants let alone get a friend in there too.
Are you stuck in a time warp thinking MC Hammer's still top of the charts or something?

I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

Beyonce wears pants in videos? I must have missed these ones :D . Each one I see, she indeed, at times, wears pants, but they trend toward the minimalist form of pants.

I was more of a Tone Loc man than MC Hammer, althougn admired MC's ability to remain grounded with such ballooning slacks.
