I am a regular subscriber for the purchasing of match day DVD's made available by the SANFL. I have 2 sons one plays amatures whilst the other plays for the SANFL, and I can't get to see both, hence I purchas the DVD's. that way I get to see both of them playing. Thank you to the SANFL for continuing this option

Here is my issue with the SANFL.

The price for the DVD's is $30 including postage (reasonable) and there is a 7 day wait (some times longer) for the product to be delivered by the post. I am not sure who the people are that are responsible for the production but I have not yet received a copy where the audio ( if any ) has been acceptable. I understand that the team doing the recording are new but you would expect that at round 22 they woud have worked out their technical problems. The SANFL does issue a disclaimer with the purchase but I do believe that if the SANFL are to offer a service there has to be some sort of due dilligence to their customer. Let me make a comparison; previously Pine Lodge Studios were in charge of the making and distribution of the DVDS:- quality and audio were excellent waiting time for delivery or pick up 2 to 3 days cost $15, any faulty copies would be gladly replaced no problems no charge. The ABC when available would charge $50 including delivery which would happen via mail within 2 days quality, commentary and the entire production as to be expected is exceptional (4 or 5 cameras around the ground compared to 1)

The best part about dealing with the SANFL is that at times you get to speak to Amanda Hanks who is extremely helpful and totally professional Please SANFL continue with the service but do lift the bar

Aren't these primarily for coaching purposes? I guess that's the reason audio is not deemed important...

Perhaps but I would have thought the same would apply for Pine Lodge copies as they were the only ones available at the time yet their audio was fine

I would presume so as I know that the Eagles get dvds of the weekend game and give it out to the players.

You and I know that the technology is there for the current outfit to supply good audio to the good camera work already achieved, watching and listening to an SANFL league game with commentary is so much better and I am sure coaches would note the opposition players better if their names were accompanied with their actions.

The simple fact is that the SANFL is making these tapes available to the public at a price, so why not go past the silent movie era and produce a product that promotes our game and is quality and value for money.

I hope my criticism is seen as constructive as that is all it is meant to be

I would think there is not enough money in it to bother making it better quality.
