Well done Centrals.

just too good for us....i think in the wash of it all, normo's moves didnt work...not blaming him, but i reckon he'd have some decisions back again.

great season blues, really proud but a disappointing way to go out.

pretty shattered, but not surprised.

 :(

True, but areas of the playing group are almost in wheelchairs.....they'd probably still beat us all in 50 years time !

Good on them. Herculean effort from Roy and the boys. We all look like chumps this decade ( Blues and Eagles aside ).

Not playing Herring was a mistake as far as i'm concerned (i'm presuming he was dropped and not injured).

Why make that comment. Another great effort by the doggies and i am sure if your side was there it would mean a bit more.

Probably the most boring game I've ever attended. Probably the worst SANFL GF, even worse than the 110 odd loss the Eagles had a few years back.

I'm definitely disappointed in the result, but to be fair, Centrals were just fantastic today. I really was wondering whether they would be on the ball, but from the first bounce you could see they were completely and totally switched on. On that basis, I'm not going to take anything away from the Bulldogs, as they were on song for the entire four quarters and they positively deserved their comprehensive victory over the Double Blues today.

For Sturt, I thought we showed great endeavour the whole day and I think we had a couple of 10 minute periods where we had total control, but could not apply scoreboard pressure, whereas when the Dogs were on top, they were able to get the goals and thus put distance between themselves and us when it counted. Centrals forwards, particularly in the first half, were excellent, holding marks and kicking goals when it was needed.

So yeah, disappointed without doubt that we lost, but overall pleased we took the extra step finally and made the grannie. Would have loved to have finished 2-0 for the decade, but 1 from 2 ain't a bad return.

Congratulations to the Central District Football Club, I think this was one of their most rewarding victories and as such, all their fans deserve to lap up the glory and rub it in and all that jazz.

Bad luck to Sturt, a gallant effort, good to see the boys didn't just fall over when it was obvious they couldn't win...

I don't necessarily agree with this... yet again the problem wasn't the forwards, the problem was the delivery, it was haphazzard at times and I didn't think Chambers was helped much with the way kicked it past him and the others so often...

Herring may well have been in the same boat... if I were him though, I would feel gutted, as you'd be wondering if you would have been the player who took the mark and got the goal that might have swung momentum or something.

As it is, we were completely outplayed for a half and that's how we lost. We didn't lose a close game by missing easy shots a la Glenelg, we lost because Centrals smacked home 6 goals to nil from late in the first to the early in the third.

That's when and how it was lost...

If its such a yawn, why are you on here then?
