Interesting discussion on RPH League Teams Show tonight as to what week the SANFL Grand Final should be on.

I'm interested to know the punters thoughts on this matter.

If it's not broken, don't fix it...

I like it the way it is, personally because it is the weekend of my birthday

2 weeks after the AFL Grand Final would be great to give the Preliminary final a boost in media coverage.

Okay, sorry for expressing my personal opinion in a public forum

Please don't take your frustration with RPH's streaming out on me, nothing to do with me mate

as is, but the idea of the prelim being after the afl gf is interesting

Yep, would be great, prelim and then GF both on Saturdays, but given trends of recent years it would start to cut into summer sports - bet most local comps would start on this proposed weekend.
Keep it as it is, but maybe find a way to have it on a Saturday arvo.

Night Prelim and bring the Grand Final back to a Saturday arvo.

I really enjoy it on the long weekend after the AFL GF - no need to change it IMO

Who actually won the WAFL GF? Against whom? Close Game? Good crowd? Who would know with the standard if the media these days.

it doesn't always fall on the long weekend, the public holiday is the 1st Monday in October, if the holiday is on the 1st it is the day after the AFL GF (as it was in 2007)

The SANFL gets more coverage this week because the AFL is finished, they'd be mad to ever make it earlier.
The only annoying thing about the SANFL GF is that its clashed with Bathurst most years but that isn't the case this year which is great. Would have been perfect if it was on Saturday so it wouldn't overlap NRL GF celebrations.
Back to Saturday arvo for the GF but keep it on the same weekend!
