Best game ive ever seen by an 18yo in his first season of sanfl league footy, well done to the lad, his 3rd grand final for sturt in 2 years!

There were a few boys in the 80's that would well and truly challenge that ... But yes, it was an exceptional performance and all the accolades he's been receiving are richly deserved.

yes he was brilliant and along with Sheedy was BOG for mind.

Will be very interesting to see how he handles the onslaught from the Gowans, and Scotty Dutshke next week, it could be the cause of some fireworks.

He's certainly been sturts best young debutant since Peter Motley IMO.
The only others I can think of who were quite young and has had AS GOOD an impact in their debut seasons would be Bruce Lennon or Scott Russell.
Next week is the last time we'll see the lad in a Sturt guernsey for quite a few years, if at all.

what I saw today- gun.

The last Sturt player to impress me (& not comparing these players) in a final was Martin Mattner.

5 years may be a tad soon but the kids got talent without doubt,

Have heard of bookies over in the UK that take bets like that, wonder what odds you would get right now for Trengove to win a brownlow in his career.

From memory Chris Kirklands old man laid a bet with a bookie when his son was born that he would one day play for England at some stupid odds (10,000/1 or something) that duly saluted

At least when the Gowans dish it out you know they can back it up as they can actually play football.

Looks to have similar potential as Bryce Gibbs had at the same age. Outstanding game today and look forward to following his progress with the Demons.
