Generally have a BIG impact.
Such as 2002 where Mattner and French were on fire for Sturt!
Port could be sending some off for surgery, Crows still alive
Glenelg - Logan, Carr and Salopek from Port?? Douglas if he gets dropped this week?
Centrals - Westhoff,??
Sturt - Thurstans?? reilly or Pearce play 3?
Eagles - Stewart, Salter??
North - great experience for Sloane and Davis, both in mix for crows.. just!

Correct.
Logan, Salopek and Carr definitely not playing.
Meyer, as correctly pointed out, has played a significant part of the year at the Bay, will be the only Port AFL player in the side.
I doubt Douglas will play even if he is dropped and Sellar is unlikely even when Adelaide season is complete.
So for the Bays, there will be virtually no AFL influence at all ... they way it should be.

Justin Westhoff in for surgery on his foot, so put a line through him for Central.
Matthew Broadbent should come in for the Eagles though.
Pearce not qualified for Sturt and Thurstans has already ruled himself out for them also.

99.9 % correct but i'm sure the bays will have douglas in 2 weeks time....if he doesn't fly out as the travelling emergency (which he will) he could play for the reserves this week

I would doubt Hentschel as his body is still pretty fragile at the moment.

i'd doubt the crows would release hentschel only because of his history with injury

Maybe they would let him play - to try and prove to them he is worth another year on contract.

Interesting to read in the 'Tiser today that Port Power have said that both Josh Carr and Toby Thurstans are still possibilities to play for Glenelg and Sturt respectively in the upcoming SANFL finals series.
Previous reports stated that Carr's season was over with an ankle injury sustained in his 200th AFL game but the article today has Peter Rhode saying if he is fit and right to go, he can play, albeit still probably 2 weeks away, which would be preliminary final weekend.
I thought that Thurstans came out and stated he doesn't want to play because he has now announced his retirement from the AFL and that there was some issue with a claj injury. Rhode also went on to say that if he is passed fit, he may line up for Sturt this weekend.
Interesting ???

Josh
may be fit for Prelim or GF (if the Bays are there) but extremely unlikely (buckleys) that Rubbers would consider him due to lack of match fitness and balance of the team ... but as you say, interesting that Port have stated that he is available if fit.
The cynic in me says that this is an SANFL PR exercise by Port, but I've been wrong many times before.

Adelaide are flirting with the idea of playing key defender
NATHAN BOCK in the SANFL this weekend in a bid to build match
fitness should the Crows advance beyond their AFL semi-final.
BOCK has not turned out for Woodville-West Torrens since 2006,
but is eligible to play for the Eagles in the local league finals
so long as Adelaide remain in the race to the grand final.
Having not played any football since a heel fracture against
Geelong in round 18, BOCK is an outside chance of returning against
Collingwood on Saturday night.
AAP RTV dfb/gab
I thought they had to qualify ????

Only if their afl club is no longer in the race. Otherwise they can still move players between the SANFL and AFL.
