Didn't see the game today but regardless of the fact Westies lost their supporters must be very happy with the year as a whole...

Will certainly be pushing for a finals spot again next year. Hats off to Collins for the job he's done.

The kfc mob did get some extremely soft free kicks at crucial periods throughout the game. For example just before 3/4 time which basically was the difference in the final result

I did not notice that the umpiring was one sided. shocking at times yes.

That reversal just before 3/4 time was a joke.

Mind you so was the free kick missed early in the last quarter to North, so that evened that one up.

I would like to hear the umpires reasoning why he allow two North players to shepherd block, knock over Bennett 40m away from the ball right in front of him and not pay the free kick.

Whilst bad umpiring decisions went both ways today, considering the small winning margin I honestly think West can count themselves extremely unlucky.

Hopefully North win next week to mean the umpiring made no difference in the grand scheme of things but should the weird happen.... :?

Eveyrone was a winner today with the BBQ at Richmond.

Westies was robbed. :D

Although North did miss some easy shots at goal, and made a mess of a few other opportunities.

Anyone know if Alleway was definitely reported? If so, would be one of the softest reports I have seen.

alleway was definately reported for striking & this was the 'incident' in the goalsquare......i think a reprimand will be the verdict ;)

westies main problem over the concluding stages was it flooded so only one team could score, the umpiring had no bearing on the result
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

Saw the first 3qtrs , then
Was listening to the game on the radio
The last 5-10 minutes
The 5rph commentators were calling for WA to stop flooding and to get players forward of the ball
They called WA having every player in the NA forward line for what sounded like most of that last 5-10 minutes
I asked a person who works at Richmond
I asked him about the WA tactics when they needed to score
He said supporters were calling for players to go forward

WA have improved in 2009
Supporters can be satisfied with that improvement
But another similar season next year would be deemed unacceptable
To much talent to be playing too defensive too often or often enough
need to be a bit more offensive, play man to man, and stop the overflooding

Please Note
My comments are only based on the games I have seen WA play this year

I didn't listen to the game and I couldn't watch it. I am happy with the improvement and it is a great stepping stone for next season. Looking at the scoreboard we did well and could have won it. Looks like a wet and scrappy game.
