I believe that Darren Mead would be a suitable replacement for Ginever. He's a Port man thru and thru. He is well organised, has a great work ethic and has impeccable credentials.

You'd think Mark Tylor would be favourite to get the job, this blokes been there through the 19s to Reserves but does he want it?
I've heard he'll be leaving with Timmy when the years up.

Greg Anderson took Hallet Cove to win the Premiership in the SFL last season and applied for the Port job on the last occasion that it was vacant!

Is there any truth that Garry Mc Intosh may coach them?

I would doubt it. He never played for Port.

Would Stephen be interested again ... or is he still happy supporting Choco?
He obviously lives nearby 'cause I see him regularly at the Bay oval, so he still keep his interest in the SANFL.

Maybe he (S Williams) can be Rubbers' assistant and take over from Micky Godden as our 2s coach????

Maybe, then he can tell his brother to keep out of the huddle at 1/4 and lemon time.

I dont think Mark Tylor wants the job.
I dont think Meady is the man for the job, personally i would like to see the coach be someone like Stephen Williams, Scott Hodges, Tony Bamford or Bryan Bienke.
I think whoever does it needs to clean out some of the players. Perkins, Barham, Young, Bowes and possibly Clayton. The first 4 are keeping some of the good kids coming through, out of the league side.

Any chance of a "non Port" coach or is everyone still burnt by Matty Knights?

Mark Tylor wouldn't be good for the job. He'd be end up at the Bay half way through his tenure then beg to come back.

Yeah, the going with a Port man policy has certainly worked in the immediate past.

Tony Bamford seemed to be the front runner for the job among my Port mates I spoke with on the weekend.

He would certainly promote the kids and would have a very disciplined outfit on the park. I think Scott Hodges would also be very good in the role, but i think something not so time consuming could be on his radar, something like the Seaton job.
