Hi Everyone,

For all the young WWT and West supporters, the Eagles are having a special Kids Day home match promotion at Woodville Oval for its game against the Bloods on Sunday August 23rd.

Some of the activities include

- Pre Game Parade
- Junior and School teams plus auskick clinics in our zone have been invited to take part with other junior supporters (and parents if they wish) in a pre match parade around the Woodville Oval. To be in it you will need to meet at the Southern End by 1.15pm.

-Free Eagles Show Bag
- First 400 kids at the game receive a free Eagles Show Bag which is stacked with items including a Vilis Donut (Unless CD gets them first). various Eagle and sponsor nic nacks, plus a special membership offer.

- Free Prize Draw
- to win a signed Eagles mercandise prize pack

- Jumping Castle, Face Painting, Kick n Catch on the Oval, Eagles Quiz, the Centro Arndale Kick for Goal comp and a few surpirses.

So bring your kids, your grandkids and your friends kids. They will have a ball.

For more info contact the Eagles on 8347 2444 (or PM me)

Cheers
Phil Herden

Would be interested to know if all 400 showbags get snapped up.

Great initiative though I hope Norwood are taking note.

Should be a great day and a good game - we havent been able to beat Westies this year so do get to the ground early to support the Ressies at 8:30 then the U18s and the League at 2pm.

But kids get there early for all the activities and be in the march and guard of honour
Check out the details above or on the Eagles website.

Let's hope it's a successful day. Can I ask, though, why the Reserves are on so early? Does whoever makes these decisions take into account how it affects volunteers?

It's a Sunday game. A league trainer, for example, will need to get to the ground at about 7am, work until the end of the Reserves game, sit around for an hour or more, work through the league game and finish about 5.30.

If it's a one-off for a good reason, fair enough, but I wonder if these factors are taken into account?

I will be there from 6.30 looking for a coffee and breakfast. R&B its the same the week after when we play North at home.

According to Chris Davies its the SANFL's doing not WWT's or Westies .

Yes, I'm sure you're right, micky. I was just wondering if they take all the factors into account.

R&B with respect, it wouldn't be an issue with 17s and 19s playing at Richmond, if you get my drift. ;)

AB, mate, you never give up. :D

I do get your drift, but it also wouldn't be an issue with the 18's playing at Richmond or at 8.30.

As for the 17's and 19's, Monty Python would say:

"this is a dead parrot, it's deceased, stiff, etc, etc......"

Or perhaps more relevant

"It's no longer with us"

If you get my drift :D ;)

Of course they do - which two clubs are in the top three of producing AFL players?
