We already have Norwood and the Eagles needing to find a senior coach for 2010. Perhaps Port will be as well?
Who do people think will be putting their hands up for a senior SANFL coaching role next season?
I would guess that Andrew Rogers and Mark Jeffries would be front runners for the Eagles gig. Perhaps Stephen Hall or Gavin Colville?

Probably a bit controversial but right now, if Cotts makes and keeps the improvements coming, I'd be quite happy for him to get the gig for us.

There's some whispers doing the round that Rick MacGowan wants to return to town, dont know how legitimate they are.

Probably someone from Centrals. I reckon that Scott Lee would make a GREAT coach, or Roger Girdham, two blokes that know the game thoroughly & don't take any shit or suffer fools at all.

How about Roger and Brett James as a double act at Norwood?

Would think Brett would be an applicant, but Roger just signed a 2 year deal to coach somewhere (Hills or maybe Barossa IIRC)

Jackal mentioned Mick Godden in the other thread as the best rookie coach going around. What can Glenelg fans tell us about him? Was an old Westies player if memory serves correct?
PS. If Rick MacGowan was to return to Adelaide he'd be the number one target you would think - from all clubs needing a coach. Although would possibly go to one of the AFL clubs if he wanted to.

Would Robert Pyman be an applicant for the job at the Eagles? To have actually gotten a side like South to the finals he cant be all that bad as a coach!

I think Dutchy posted elsewhere that Mick Gooden has taken up a role interstate.

Sojourner/BenW you do type some dribble, given the playing list at Pyes disposal over his term he greatly underachieved, talking to the players about his comminication skills may explain why there hasn't been a rush to his door.

Here is a little article from the Messenger website on an individual who has been touted as a possible coach of Norwood next year...

Nathan Bassett. Picture: Morne de KlerkRETIRED Crows defender Nathan Bassett has given no indication he’s in the running for Norwood’s vacant senior coaching position.
Speaking from Scotland where he was holidaying on Thursday, Bassett said he had not been approached and had not given any thought into whether he would go for the job next season.
The Redlegs are currently under the guidance of caretaker coach Jarrod Cotton after Trevor Hill resigned earlier this month.
While Bassett kept his coaching cards close to his chest, he did say he had been impressed by Norwood’s talented youngsters.
That comes after he has spent the season as the Redlegs’ academy coach overseeing the under-16 and under-18 players.
``Certainly our (under) 16 group was impressive and our under-18s have shown they’re going okay,’’ he said.
``Mark Evans (under-18 captain) is playing good footy and played League last week.’’

I wouldnt mind seeing Jarrod Cotton get a crack, but I think
Bassett already has the job. Jeffries is the man for the Eagles,
which leaves one job up for grabs. The Port maggies. Timmy
cant wait for the season to end. They could do a lot worse
than chase Jars. Macca is also interested. I might not hate
them so much if they had some redleg influences down there.

The same players that activley whiteanted him whilst his daughter was being treated for Cancer with an very uncertain outcome.......
Backing that group of players is exactly the reason we are in our current situation and perhaps even deservedly so.

My mail is Macca has already accepted a position for 2010.
You could ask how will he get there and receive the answer "Probably by Kar Michael"
