Rnd 17 Norwood v Panthers @ Coopers

The good news for Norwood and Panther fans is that at least one of these teams will take some premiership points this coming Saturday.

Should be an uninspiring, error riddled match but it should be at least close.

Over the last few weeks South have had some narrow losses as opposed to some of the bigger margins against the club earlier this year. Several people have suggested that they feel the club has improved in this time despite not having won a match in that time. With Norwood having their own problems and being a lower placed side on the SANFL ladder, I do think this match is likely to be one that South should be in with a chance of winning. Perhaps the change that I have seen in the SAFC in recent matches is that despite the losses, the players havent dropped their heads so to speak and do look as a side hungry for a win which I do feel makes the club a threat to the NFC. Still no doubt we will soon find out this weekend! :?

Been there, done that Bd55. Remember Encounter Bay ?
;)
Hate to say it, but with us a basket case & Panthers on the improve, who could pick this one ?
David Rodan made a huge difference down at Encounter Bay. A bullocky long kicking rover who
breaks lines and sets up fast accurate delivery to forwards running into space.
Brett Zorzi has been used in a similar vein, but that leaves an even bigger hole in the back line
thanks to poor form, injuries and the retirement of 'Brickwall Bowny' last year.
Still don't think people appreciate just how much we relied on Stu over the years.
I see Mark Naley is a guest speaker at Norwood's pre-game 'banquet' this Saturday.
Not trying to start any rumours, but seriously, does 'Nails' have any coaching experience ?
Just interested.
:)

You dont have to have any coaching experience to be a guest speaker do you ?

The Panthers are a slowly but surely improving outfit and I believe that this is their week.
The manner of their recent losses points to a lack of real confidence in their own abilities to actually carry off an upset IMO. Norwood seem to be about their level ATM.
Come on Panthers!!!

I thought Norwood would be in a far better position than what they currently are,I had them top three at the start of the season!
We have struggled all season, more so than i had envisaged!
Despite the fact we cannot win a game we have definately improved, and as soon as we can stop playing 10-20 minutes of poor football we will get the much needed victory!
Will be a very tight game and whoever prevails will not be by much!
If we play four quaters of relatively good/decent football we will win!!
Time for a win boys "BELIEVE"

I heard that this game may be getting called off as the 42 league players and 1500 people in attendance all have better things to do.

Anyway, back onto the topic at hand, I think the Panthers might get up in this one...

Ben Warren to kick a bag and South to win by under 3 goals...

Taylor Walker has come into the Crows 25 man squad so may not play for the Legs on Saturday...
