OK....considering the Snouts site is shagged.

1. Can/ Will the Bays kick straight ?

2. Will the Dogs bury the Tigers yet again, and put a mental nail in the coffin to the Bays flag hopes ?

3. Will Glenelg respond to last week's poor performance to beat Centrals at home, and give themselves some much needed confidence playing the Premiership favourites.

4. Will the Gowans go out and do the " knuckler " routine, forcing the Bays to become rattled.

5. Will the crowd exceed 8000 ?

How important is the minor premiership in pursuit of a premiership?

This is game of the year so far and there is a lot on the line. If Glenelg win, you'd think they'd have top spot sewn up and if Central win they'd be favourites for top spot and would hold a mental edge over the bays as we head towards the finals.

I think Glenelg will get up, but expect to see an improved performance from the dogs than what they've dished up in the past few weeks.

We are playing some garbage footy at present, at this stage probably won't get within 12 goals.

Minor Premiership....hmm...not that important, as last year showed. However to beat Centrals is a mental hurdle we have to overcome. We get plenty of the footy, but time and time again, it has not showed on the scoreboard.

Seriously this game will be but a battle as part of war that potentially has another two battles after this one to fight out, so despite the outcome no team will come out with a definative advantage come 4:30 pm next Saturday - well certainly not us anyway, IMO.

Should be a beauty despite both teams upping their mid-week preparations for finals.

From a Glenelg perspective looking for some improvement with our forward entries and finishing in front of goals. if we do that we might be in a chance. Hopefully our midfield can show the same intensity agaisnt Sturt, West and Port agaisnt the likes of Thomas, Dutchke and the Gowans the benchmark of the competition in midfield workrate.

For any Centrals fans that are interested and for those Glenelg fans on here that aren't members and aren't aware, this weekend the club is hosting Ladies Day and Mens Day at the Bay.

For the Ladies it is a two course meal, drinks package and free gift in the Function Centre. For the Blokes it s a gourmet BBQ and beers in the Cricketers club. Contact the club on 8294 5333 if interested. See attached flyer.

i think given good weather this game will attract about the same attendance as last years sturt game, it is a real 50/50 game & the bays haven't lost since these teams clashed on anzac day when we were absolutely smashed in all areas of the game, (i think we lost the toss that day as well), i'd expect both teams to come out breathing fire & it should go down to a narrow win & hopefully for glenelg at home

I txtd one of the admin last night and he didn't know why it was down. I'm sure nai is onto it. Maybe a phishing (the technobots can correct me on that) attack or problems with the server given how much the site has grown in the past 12 months (members wise and traffic).

The overflowing bandwagon is haveing an effect in more ways than one down at Brighton Rd.

The dogs play like the last, they lose. Simple as that.
That 3rd qtr was probably their best for quite a few weeks. Hopefully they can sustain it for 4 qtrs and they will be very hard to beat.

dogs, would the strong breeze have been an influence in that though ?

The breeze always helps. But it wasnt just using the breeze, it was the way they harassed and contested and their use of the ball was so much better than previous weeks. They worked for each other and looked switched on. Guys that havent played well in recent weeks suddenly got some touches and were cleaner with their skills, and to have a focal point up forward was a huge bonus. We just need some players to stay switched on for 4 qtrs and anything can happen.
I think one of the dogs biggest problems over the last few weeks has been decision making, well in that 3rd qtr they made the right decisions and it paid off.
The breeze might have been an influence but not an 8 goal influence.
