Corey AhChee - 200 games

Postby Macca19 » Thu Jul 16, 2009 10:21 pm

Plays his 200th game this weekend against the Bays. Pretty good achievement and has been one of the most consistent players in the league for the best part of a decade. Captain, BnF, 200 games, a fine career.

Not trying to be funny here, does anyone (Spelly perhaps) have an idea as to how many Port Adelaide players got to 200 for the club without winning a flag?

200 games is a great effort, well done Corey.

A great career from a great player and a great bloke as well...

Wonderful achievement from Corey and certainly the most consistent Magpies player in the last 10 years.

Let's not forget he is currently the most capped State player in the league as well, having represented the Croweaters 7 times.

Good luck on the weekend Corey, well done...

Reakon he's the first.

Bruce Light was pretty close.

Retired in 1978 on 215 games after playing in the '77 premiership team.

So would've been in the 190s at least.

Well done, Corey AhChee...

Congrats to Corey, a great footballer and someone who's always played in great spirit and been loyal to his club in ordinary times.
Does anyone know when he played his first league game?

Thanks mate, he's one of those blokes who seems to have been around for 15 years.

Was he ever on an AFL list? IMHO he should have been.

Nah never on an AFL list. Maybe a touch too short for KPP at AFL level but theres been many many worse players get a gig on AFL lists that have nowhere near the talent that Corey has. Not like he was an overly late bloomer either, played every game in the seniors in 2000 as a 19 year old. I think he could have easily done alright on an AFL or rookie list.

Well done to Corey a great effort that few are achieving nowadays. A top bloke and probably one who was unlucky not to get a look in at AFL level. A true competitor and the full back Adam Richardson always hated playing against :D .

I've only seen a handful of his games - mainly his State games for SA against WA - but from what I have seen, he's an excellent footballer.

Congratulations to him on a terrific milestone.

Seems to have been around forever, was surprised to see its his 200th game seems like he should be closer to 300. Dont think he has ever had a bad game against the Eagles, forward or back...well done.
Trust the process.
