Right now based on form so far, I would say the Bays over the Double Blues, followed by the Dogs...

But of course, come Spetember and Octpber we know what the Dogs are capable of, and don't right off North yet either...

Whatever does unfold, should make for a great finals series back down at AAMI Stadium, very much looking forward to it this year...

Outright favourites the Bays. Can they handle the pressure though ?

P!ss funny thread, as of 20:18 on 16/07/09 we have 11 voters who seem to have forgotten the last two Septembers and Octobers

I can understand some posters wanting to forget the last two Septembers for obvious reasons
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Dogs for a few reasons.

1. They've got a proven track record
2. Their immediate opposition are mentally fragile after previous campaigns where they haven't got over the dogs.
3. They'll finish top 3 after the minor round and be cherry ripe for the first day in October.

The think both the Dogs and Sturt have the wood on the Bays. We'll see soon enough if the Bays can match Centrals when they are struggling.

Maybe Westies will do what Norwood did in 1984 and just slide into the five then steadily knock their opponents off and win the flag! 8)

I just want to correct a popular misconception about Norwood in 1984. They didn't "just slide" into the top 5, they were 3 wins plus percentage ahead of 6th team West Adelaide, and had equal number of wins to South Adelaide in 4th spot.
