The Dogs came from behind* to get over the line against a spirited Redlegs outfit while the Double Blues had a Waikerie whitewash of the Bloods. This game will be interesting and could go one of three ways I think.
The Bloods will no doubt be desperate to improve on last weeks insipid performance and will come out firing, which would lead to a tight, hard fought scrappy game. The Dogs would have gained a lot of confidence from their hard fought win and if fully firing, are capable of inflicting another mammoth loss to the Westies outfit.
I'm tipping it will be somewhere in between and think the Dogs will get up by about 8 goals.

What are the three ways? Win, lose or draw?

I though I kind of explained that but here I go again
1. Westies will throw up a good fight and it will be a dour, scrappy game where the Dogs just win. 2. Central will pump them by as much as Sturt did in the Riverland, maybe more !!3. Somewhere in between a 20 goal hiding and a comfy win, as in the 8 goal victory I predicted.
In fairness, with the unpredictability of this season in terms of form, I probably should have added a 4th option and that is Westies get up in an upset !!

I think the Dogs are slowly building some form and having seen how dissapointing Westies were first hand on the weekend, I have a funny feeling you may just get that wish doggies4eva

Roy Laird was quoted in the local Messenger recently saying exactly the same thing, with the article on the South game headed
"Dogs Lacking Killing Instinct"Roy after that game -
"I expressed to the boys after the (South) game that I am frustrated in the lack of killer in us at the moment."The Dogs, at varying stages so far this year, have been in good positions to absolutely finish off sides but have seemed to take the foot off the pedal when they feel they are in a winning position.

Sorry WA lads but I gotta say what I gotta say
Playing BENNETT was a very poor selection
WA needed to win to keep a Top 5 aspiration alive
WA should have picked thier best team
BENNETT is not in thier best team
Might have been a good promotional tool for the crowd and the developement of the area
BUT
It was a poor selection irrespective of the hindsight of being clobbered by ST
Also the player who was dropped for BENNETT would not be impressed, surely ?
Who is gunna play this week against CD ?
Will WA in the theme of things play THIELE and COORONG this week ?

Ha ha - the selection of Bennett resulted in West losing by 100 points??? Come on Mal.
BTW - the Big Rhino will be playing for West for a few more games yet.

If fit do people think Yves Sibenaler will slot straight back into full back. I say that because Heath Lawry has played there since Yves injury and has held Vlatko and Warren both goalless. IIRC both these players have had pretty good records against Centrals in recent history.
Also you would think Lawry has abit more upside than Yves in that Lawry is only learning the postion so you would think he would have even more improvement in him. While Yves is coming towards the end of his career and has at times looked a yard or two of the pace.

Interesting to read on another forum that Ryan Bennett has been training in Adelaide all this week with the Bloods and will line up in the side against Central on saturday. Not just a one-off trial like many may have thought to be the case.
Will be intruiging to see how he backs up after a poor game (wasn't the only one by a long shot) last week and how he'll adjust to playing back in Adelaide. Also, keen to see how Andy Collins reacts to the pumping from Sturt at the selection table. Obviously they lose Cupido to suspension and Pettigrew may be recalled by the Power, but keen to see if Andy axes anyone for underperforming last week in Waikerie.
I think Central SHOULD win by plenty, but it may be a scrappy, ugly game and I reckon Central by about 8 goals as well.

Im unfortunately going to miss this one, I expect Centrals to win, but i think Westies will give it a real crack for the first 2-3 qtrs, i think Centrals will run over the top of them in the end and win by 7-8 goals.

In the past Andy hasn't reacted savagely at the selection table to poor performances, but I think to keep Bennett in the League side this week would just be stubborn.
