Rnd 14 - Glenelg v Panthers @ Gliderol Stadium

So after the Bays broke their 10 year Woodville Oval hoodoo, they take on an improving Panthers outfit who just fell short against the Dogs after not being able to peg back a 3 goal head start.
Of course, it is interesting to note that out of the 3 times these sides met last year, South Adelaide won on two of those occassions. I'm sure the Tigers will be keen to keep on their winning way and build some momentum.
For me, Glenelg by 8 goals.

IF glenelg take south lightly then south could win however this point with what happened last year was mentioned last night at the club so i doubt any bay player will not go in with the wrong mindset, especially considering there is 3 or 4 players vying to get back into the league team as well......bays by 8-10 goals minimum

Our bogey team!
We should win this, but come out with the wrong attitude and you know what can happen. South will be pumped up and take it right to the Bays. Hopefully we run over them and pull away
Bays by 10 goals to help put the losses in 2008 further in he back of the mind

Dont count your goals yet boys, the game dosen't finish till 4.30 next Sunday, there is some chance you could be in the minus(-) by then.

It is hard to see us keeping up with the bays on sunday. We lack the height and toughness around the ball to be able to match them.
Having said that we have to believe we can win and play with intensity and generate as much run as possible.
We are still not getting enough forward entries into our 50 metre zone,so we have to make the most of our chances. I hope Clay will consider promoting James Turner,Jak Kennedy-Hunt or Niick Makenna from the reserves as they have played quite well the past fortnight and we could do with more height at both ends of the ground.
A win against this mob would be so satisfying so I hope Clay can have them fired up!
An extremely tough game for us but you never know.
Go Panthers!!!! Lets smash em!!!

South have beaten Glenelg in this exact situation before and I do feel we are more than a chance this week. Yes our list is thin, yet we are also starting to see some hunger in our group and that is where I feel any football club can be lethal when it bites hard enough, having had enough s**t heaped on the club, they are more than just a good chance of coming back swinging and you bet I hope its this weekend!

Whilst it isn't a laydaown misere I expect us to win on Saturday because at teh minute you would ahve to say that we are a very good chance of being there on the first Sunday in October (not guaranteed by any stretch of the imagination). Our consistancy over the last few weeks has come from our less established players - Willo-b, Hinge, Addlington, Block, Ruwuldt and Holmes. They know if they dont perform blokes like O'Grady, McConnell, Kellock, Vallance, Sveldorf, Snook and McGinty are waiting in the wings for a shot as they have been playing great footy in the 2s and there is the likes of C Kane, Liebelt and Sugars waiting to return from either suspension or injury.
A bit of pressure to perform at the minute at the Bay, mind you that doesn't guarantee any win

A couple of AFL selections come into play for this particular game...
James Sellar (Glenelg) and Sean McKernan (South) have been promoted to AFL duties with the Crows...
Steve Salopek (Glenelg) has earnt a recall to the Power line up so will be an OUT for the Bays this weekend...
Not sure who will ruck for the Panthers now McKernan has gone up, I would assume the big fella Tom Billings.

Billings will have to ruck, I don't think we have another ruckman

cockshell to provide support.
Big loss McKernan. Will certainly hurt South more than what Sellar's recall will hinder Glg.
A repeat of the corresponding game last year would be nice

I wouldn't want to be relying on the Billings method.
