Finals to be at Footy park

Postby am Bays » Mon Jun 22, 2009 1:25 pm

In the wake of last Friday night's game the sensible decision has been reached IMO. A chance to reward the SANFL players with games on the home of Football in this state

Interesting to note the catering comment in the press release given the comments by Sturt and Glenelg posters on here following Friday night's game.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Not a bad choice. Hopefully they review the car parking charges as they won't run the buses, so driving will be the only realistic option.

To slug people $10 for a park for a SANFL game would be pretty rich considering you can park for free at any other ground....

Good move, Ideally if good weather is forecast they should block off all the upper levels of the stands and make the whole crowd be on the lower level which will make for a much better atmosphere

Which makes it difficult for people for whom driving is not an option.

Well with three of these four relatively well supported teams (Centrals, North, Glenelg and Sturt) virtually guaranteed to be there week one of the finals a crowd rivalling a Port Power home game is not unreasonable.

If Norwood got their act together and played to that horrible phrase "their potential" and replaced the Eagles in the five, well good crowds would be guaranteed for the finals.

114, 116 & 118 all from the city on Currie Street go to West Lakes Mall.

I presume they will let Adelaide Oval members in for free at AAMI?

What are FINALS ????????
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

Sensible decision IMO. Even after the Anzac Day game I knew the only reasonable solution was to play the finals at AAMI.

You can still park for free around the back streets of AAMI, just like any other ground.

Only ground I ever pay for parking is Noarlunga - because you have to (no free parking anywhere near that ground)

Great decision, would have preferred stand alone games at suburban grounds but anything is a HUGE improvement on going to Adelaide Oval which I hate with a passion.
Even better now you can drink booze at Footy Park too.

PS lol @ Dutchy

I wouldn't think so. It is a no brainer for mine Adelaide Oval members miss out this year due to the construction at Adelaide Oval.
