Doesn't sound good, although regardless of how they dress it up, all club establishments are designed purely for the machines (although at least a laminated Bistro menu's probably not a huge ask) ... If you're looking for 3star+ cuisine and service I'd suggest a restaurant

This is the problem when the pokies came in. I wouldn't begrudge the average punter for choosing the Cremorne over Barzaar (or the SFC Clubrooms prior to that) in the slightest.
Haven't been to the Holdy in years, used to drink there before the poker machines came in.

My mail is somewhat different, How sure are you that things are looking up and are better than at the same time last year? It needs to be borne in mind that Barzaar needs to make significant improvements in its takings, simply being same or marginally better will not arrest the losses that the venue is currently bleeding, I havent seen any evidence to suggest that any great turnaround has been achieved, but will happily be corrected if that is not right.
Also in relation to moving, its much better to move when its in a position of strength as opposed to a position of weakness. If moving it to Mt Barker will increase the revenue stream into the club then perhaps its time to look at it now prior to Daylight Saving begining this year as opposed to doing nothing and adding a further loss to the club sheet at the next AGM?
