As per other seasons, would be interesting to see what numbers club have for membership this season and how it compares with the season before.
At Norwood we're currently on 1919, not sure how this fares against last years tally, will try to find out and come back with the comparison.

North have 1869.
Previous recent figures below with the steady decline (even when we made the GF) accounted for with many many people becoming disenchanted with the board and adminstration of the club over various matters.
Social functions have also had a huge drop in numbers.
Our figures dont include life members, etc but this year all the players are paid up members and recruited a lot too, hate to think what the drop would look like if not for them.
They dropped the kids membership price by half this year too.
2008 - 2173
2007 - 2329
2006 - 2664
2005 - 2266
2004 - 2060
2003 - 1581
2002 - 1729
2001 - 1622

More performances like the one against Norwood will get you very close to that target by the end of the season.

All clubs are always looking for new members, so if you support an SANFL team and are not a member, sign up now!
If you have friends or family who support and are not members, sign them up.
The Bays have upped their target to 2500 and are currently sitting on 2412. As an incentive to make that target, half price memberships have been on offer in the last few weeks.
So for as little as $30, you can become a member and help reach that target ... do it now!

I believe that the Eagles are above 2000, but need CD1 (col D) to post exact numbers.

Sturt have looked at doing this also, and personally it's not a bad idea. SANFL clubs need all they can get...well some do, others just fleece it from their community.
So on current numbers, Sturt have the highest membership totals. This would be done largely with minimal resources and budgets, congratulations to Matt Benson and all involved. Good turn around for the club.

Our total is around 2100.
We have introduced a new free membership for juniors called Eagle One - we have some 500 plus signed up Eagle One members so if counting all these juniors we are around 2600.
Hopefully we'll get even more members at Kids Day on sunday.

What do you get as an Eagle One member?
Checked on the WWTFC Site and that category isn't listed, is it a new thing? If so, 500 members even if free, is a great result and should hopefully mean a few of them translate into paid members further down the track. Even if only 10% do it would have been a worthwhile exercise.
Well done Eagles, can CD put his hand up top be on the Norwood board? I'll throw in doughnuts for life.
