I know, nobody is perfect. But! Isn't there such as thing as proof reading? Edit: It's not rocket science! ;)

When I saw page 9, I thought, ooh this looks interesting - random facts and figures.

That is, until I saw:

10 - Combined number of years Neil Kerley coached a club (West, South and Glenelg).
15 - The number of goals Daniel Havelberg kicked in 2007 to beat Grant Coffee's Central District record.

14- Number of goals Rick Davies kicked against West in 1983. It was 15 goals.

Aha, 15.6 it was. All that was needed is to swap them around.

Edit: 15.3.

The Football Budget has solved the age old problem of how long the Port Adelaide Magpies have been in the competition .... see Number 1.

It says Number 1 is the number worn by every Port Adelaide Magpie captain in the club's history. Now if their history began in 1997, then this statement is correct.

However, if their history began in 1870, then Geof Motley always wore 17, plus captains up to 1913 never wore any number at all.

..... but then we go to number 36 .... the number of premierships won by the Port Adelaide Magpies. I wish they would make up their minds. How could they win 36 flags in 12 seasons? :)

AH, you can't blame the Footy Budget on being unsure about the history of Port Adelaide's SANFL team - when most of the football populace has a different take on it.

Actually, I thought with your love of the SANFL and its rich history that you'd be embracing the Port Magpies as the original and the Power as the co-opted new franchise ;)

It doesn't really bother me either way, I'd just like them to make a statement and stick to it, for the sake of historians. They change like the wind to suit whatever argument they are offering at the time.

Very true.
Five years ago they were trying to convince footy fans that you didn't have to have Port in your veins to cheer for the Power.
Now, they've got 1870 on the back of their guernsey.
