Good to see that Kym has had time to assess West's situation and has the confidence to accept the appointment.

It seems like you are suggesting anyone who knows the real depth would not be interested in doing the job...

Not at all. We had just posted a very large loss and Kym has been on a short-term 'contract' to assess the situation and plan for the future.

He obviously feels confident he can turn our financial fortunes around.

Our asset base is very strong, but our cash flow position needed looking at.

could the large loss be to what the club is paying Andy collins? I heard he is on a big package.

He's not on $650K per annum.

kookas, the answer to your question is no, the large $650,000 loss is not due to what they're paying the coach. Yes, Collins is well paid and is paid more than Weidemann was, but the difference between their salaries is not $650,000.

I'm sure he's waiting for things to start going right first. And the VFL is a tinpot league, he may be more at home in a real footy comp.
