10 Most Annoying Things In Football

1 People who refer to Barry Robran instead of Barrie Robran - totally disrespectful like referring to Barry Cable as Barrie Cable or Bobby Skilton as Robby Skilton or Leigh Matthews as Lee Matthews (oops shouldn't have mentioned that name)
2 Reference to AFL/VFL - why not ever AFL/SANFL or AFL/WAFL
3 "Going off with the blood rule" - you don't go off with the blood rule you go off because of the blood rule or you go off with blood coming from your nose
4 Down back, up back
5 pre game banners - so yesterday and everyone does it - surely time for something different
6 SANFL scoreboard attendants - rarely keep scores from other games anywhere near up-to-date especially near the end - not that hard
7 SANFL History Museum - where is it?
8 Supporters at SANFL who call out 'throw it up you idiot' after a bad centre bounce then yell out 'hooray' when they then throw it up as though they influenced the umpire to do it - even though that is the rule
9 Sturt supporters at the footy - worst umpire whinges of all time
10 Umpires who tell players that they have done something good - that must take the gloss off of it for the players

I know - I've got too much time on my hands but oh well!
Got your own?

Any reference to the "Big four" as the "powerhouses" of the SANFL.

Given North's record, surely they belong in any big four a lot more than Glenelg and probably more than Sturt.

Good point that one really annoys me too (but I am a North supporter).

Especially the Glenelg reference - they have been a joke for many many many years.

Glenelg 4 premierships
North 13 premierships
Sturt 13 premierships

Port 36 premierships
Norwood 27 premierships

I rest your case

Case dismissed

People who get worked up about the spelling of some old blokes name.

People who think opposition supporters really give a toss how some old bloke spells his name.

LMAO I thought it was pretty funny.

Think I'd struggle to come up with 10, but the biggest annoying thing (to me) about footy, is the off-seaon, effing hate it!!

yep agree with that one .you would think that the magpies played in the power colours at home games at alberton.
BUT at least you can see who they are there to support .Crows colours tells us nothing .

1. Supporters who misunderstand the "big four" appellation.
2. That those supporters are always Rooster fans.

People who incorrectly state its only Rooster fans that don't realise the Big 4 was due to glamour.

What is the Big 4 talk all about?
Everyone knows there's only a Big 2 - Norwood and Port.
