No... its still football season.. Go Adel Utd!!!

Cricket has started to lose its appeal to me. At least now the Aussies are coming back to the pack and we dont have a bunch of whingers touring the country this season. So it may get interesting again.

I'm well and truly consumed by the cricket and the "football" but indeed, I do miss the SANFL.

Was pretty much relieved when the SANFL season finished this year - if it went on any longer we may well have won the Spoon! :?

Still if you dont like Cricket there is always Speedway!

Not missing it at all, really enjoying the break, not even playing lawn bowls this year.
Spending the time with the kids and getting fitter.
Cricket and soccer suck so Im basically having a break from all sports.
Rugby League World Cup kicks off soon which will give me something to be intersted in.
Havent touched the camera since GF day too. ;)
Its gym workouts, jogs, bike rides and swims for me.
See yas down at the beach or at Marion Pool with my kids!
:D

Absolutely missing it, just can't get enough of footy, I'm obsessed with it, I love it !!!!

I hate cricket and soccer and love basketball and golf (no where near as much as footy) so taking up some time with the other 2 sports but it's not the same without footy on. I hate this time of year, especially because I hate the warmer weather also and I know it brings out the boring summer sports.

I did get a god footy fix this weekend just gone. My silly parents booked holidays way back in January for the the GF weekend and missed out on seeing the Doggies 7th flag. So, to make up for it, we had a full on Grand Final BBQ at their place and watched it on Dad's massive plasma. There was about 8 of us and we were chanting all the Doggies songs and cheering every bump, tackle and goal like we were at the game. It was good fun.

Then on the Sunday, I needed another footy fix so I watched the replay of the 2007 Grand Final. That brought back some good memories as well. But, no matter what the substitute, it doesn't replace the real thing. I wish the SANFL was played 12 months of the year, I love the Doggies and I love this great competition we have here in SA.

I guess this coming weekend there will be the International Series with the Irish so that might have to do, otherwise, I did discover a VHS tape of the 2000 Grand Final when I was cleaning the spare room the other day so I might have to put that on this weekend, that's if the Polish missus doesn't drag me along to the Polish Festival that's on this weekend !!

I love SANFL footy and can't wait for season 2009 to start, bring it on !!!!

yeah i am missing it, had a bbq with mates on the weekend and was talking about the season just gone and the upcoming season plus our choices of who will coach sturt next year. football is a 12 month thing for me anyway as i am involved with a junior football association so we are now planning for next year. cricket gets me through on a saturday out there running and batting in the heat.

Some could say that, especially as a Doggies supporter, we have been pretty blessed in the last 10 years. But it has been frustration, like all clubs go through, in years gone by. We've had our ups and downs, just more ups in recent years !!

For me, footy, and in particular Centrals and the SANFL, is an obsession, I love it and can't get enough of it. I love it and can't think of anything better than to be at an SANFL game cheering on your favourite side and watching your team win premierships is awesome. I've been so lucky this year and been able to have some involvement in broadcasting games through the radio and it has been one of the best experiences of my life, I've just loved it !!
