Ryan Ferguson not named as CHB in the 'Tiser team of the year. :D Some hack called McKenzie named instead.

And McKenzie was rightly named, if Ferguson was good enough he would be on the bench. 8)

Good to see Meiklejohn rewarded for his season.

The 'Pies had Maric for several games early and although Ivan played well enough to get into Adelaide line up I thought big Jimmy was travelling very well himself.

I am not doubting McKenzies spot in the side but how often did he play CHB? Not too many i am guessing he played all the games against us in the middle and floated forward. I think the lineup is poor in regards to where people are positioned. I am suprised that neither Mcleay nor Ferguson got the CHB gig  .

Neither of us are selectors are we. Sometimes they have to name players out of position eg if Chambers and Passador got simular amount of goals playing the same position for their club, you would have one at full forward and the other in one of the pockets.

Agree with wycbloods, McLeay is the glaring ommission from CHB

From a Glenelg persepctive, the one player who ahs been very consistant on a hlaf bank flank and will finish vry high up in our B&F is Luke Panozzo. IMO has had a better season that Scott McGlone and I've seen Sturt a few times this year not just when they have played Glenelg for all you Sturt fans who want to jump down my throat.

To be honest I think Snoz is a more deserving member of the team than Fish.

I am also interested how the 'player of the year' Jeremy Clayton is not named in his normal position .

BOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THUD!!!!!!!!!

I have just landed after exploding.

McKenzie is one of the best players in the league and rightly deserved to be named, just not at CHB, where he didn't play much, so I'll ignore ME's trolling.

Ferguson was comfortably good enough, but has been the victim, as I suspected all along, of just playing great team footy for the bottom team and therefore becoming seemingly invisible to some journalists.

Now, unlike some, I have a lot of time for the 'Tiser journalists and think they've done a pretty good job picking this team, but the non-selection of Ferguson is ludicrous. The fact he couldn't even get on the bench in front of Elstone, for example, just compounds it.

Never mind, I'll just wait for each Club's best and fairest awards. They know who their best players are.

I do give them credit for picking the obvious stand-out defender, Damian Cupido. He's been fantastic this year and I would have pushed for him, but I was enjoying the Ferguson bandwagon too much :D

Not a bad effort for a team which is too old and coming to the end of its run...

I was suprised Boyd from South Adelaide did not get in the side. He was runner up in the Magery Medal this year.

At least they could have given us something in an otherwise s**tful year!!!

It'll be interesting if the doggies win on Sunday. How often would the premiers have only had two players in the SANFL team of the year, (including one on the bench).

But then again few were consistent this year.

I though Tristan Gum deserved a berth.

Electric fantastic player as skilful as you'd see in the SANFL.

For most of the year it was either Hier, Hentschel or McGregor at CHB. It would have made more sense to have McKenzie at the R/Rover spot, but then you'd have to find another place for Allen to go to.

I originally thought it wasn't a bad effort at selecting the team of the year but in hindsight more Dogs players and Boyd missing out is a bit amazing. Mind you considering Central lost to North by 50pts during the year its probably understandable as we were hopeless.
